Forest Fungi is a family run business, established to help spread knowledge and supplies for Australians wanting to grow mushrooms. We launched the business in 2008, after many years of trials and contemplation. We hope to share our passion for mushroom cultivation with you, and guide you on your journey. We are a small business, and aim to keep it that way. Our products are intended for the hobbyist, not commercial growers.

We are committed to Organic gardening, and where possible we use only organic ingredients and processes. We use only certified organic grains for our spawn, and we are trying to source certified organic sawdust and cocopeat.

We are happy to answer your questions, but please check the FAQ in the forum first. We recommend our customers purchase a good book on the subject, for example Paul Stamets "Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms". This book is both inspiring and informative.
